Cllr Alan Maskell
Alan's entire working career was spent in Local Government Finance, starting at Chiswick Town Hall (West London) as a junior clerk in 1963 and culminating in his position as Borough Treasurer in Northampton from 1989 until he took early retirement in 1998.
He qualified as Local Government Accountant (CIPFA) in 1970 and served in a few London Borough Councils before moving to Northampton in 1974. (the same year that he married)

Until very recently, Alan was an active Board Member (and Company Secretary) with the Northamptonshire Community Foundation, where he served for over ten years (again acting as Chair of its Finance Committee).
Alan is a serving Member of the Valuation Tribunal Service for England and regularly Chairs Hearings within the East Midlands Region
Alan is a great supporter of Parish Councils. Before joining Hunsbury Meadows PC he's was previously a member on Roade Parish Council for eleven years, acting as its Chairman for nine of those years, before he moved away from the village in 1989
As far as hobbies are concerned, Alan is a very keen genealogist and he follows the fortunes of Brentford Football Club, where he is a season ticket holder, having supported the Club through thick and thin for nearly 60 years
