The current temporary traffic lights on Banbury lane covering the bridge over the canal and the River Nene are scheduled to last until the end of July 2018

At the June meeting of the Parish Council on the 6th June we will have a representative from the Community Relations Team, Costain to discuss the work on the M1 to convert it to a Smart Motorway which starts May 2018 to March 2022

The Parish Council have been in touch with Northamptonshire Highways regarding the closure of Banbury Lane and received the following.
"We had to shut Banbury Lane under an emergency Temporary Traffic Regulation Order road closure for today only. This is to install a concrete barrier to protect a damaged bridge parapet. There is an increasing problem with youths performing stunts on their bike around the Parish. One local youth has already been spoken to by the police and the police will confiscate bikes.
Northamptonshire Police are carrying out on-going operations to target the problem and will seize bikes from youths where appropriate as well as prosecuting for any offences committed.

Speeding in Hunsbury Meadows
Residents in Hunsbury Meadows are worried about speeding vehicles. With your support the Parish Council wants to continue with Community Speedwatch to tackle this danger.
In Speedwatch volunteers properly trained to use the calibrated speed gun, just like the police use. We can't (and don't want to) fine motorists we find speeding but they will get a warning letter from the police as a reminder.. Read More »
