What Are Your Priorities For Local Policing?
Message from our Neighbourhood Police Team
We are committed to engaging with our community, by doing so it allows us to understand what affects you in the area of Northampton you live, work or socialise in.
Our Community Engagement plan ensures we gather your views to allow us to plan our priorities for the coming months. This is your opportunity to influence these priorities.
From the Survey you completed in January 2019, we received 859 responses for Northampton District, thank you.
From your responses we identified the following as our priorities for February to April 2019:
- Dwelling Burglary
- Knife Crime
We have started to visit every victim of dwelling burglary and conducting extensive house to house giving reassurance and crime prevention advice. Tackling knife crime we have destroyed 81 knives that were handed in, working with our partners we have continued school inputs around knife crime and the risks of carrying a knife. We have also continued to safeguard identified cuckooing addresses, using enforcement powers where appropriate.
Further details of our activity can be found through the following web link: https://www.northants.police.uk/local-update/northampton-neighbourhoods-team-monthly-update-march-2019
