Hunsbury Meadows 3

Clerk: Mr Lalitkumar Patel
52 Meadow Lane, Little
Houghton, Northampton NN7 1AH

I am writing to let you know that we will be carrying out essential carriageway investigation works on the A45, in both directions, between Great Doddington and the M1 Junction 15.

The purpose of our works is to gain vital technical information which will help us to produce an accurate and efficient plan for resurfacing the road. By gathering this information, we can pull together a plan which helps us eliminate cracks, potholes and the deterioration of the road surface. By doing this work now, we can ensure that motorist will benefit from improved road safety and journey reliability in the future.

When will the work take place?

Work is due to start on Monday 3 February 2020 and is scheduled for completion by Friday 21 February. To minimise inconvenience and disruption to road users, we will work overnight from Monday to Friday between 7:00pm and 5.30am.

To maintain a safe environment for our workforce and road users, we will need to install lane closures while we work. We will make sure that at least one lane remains open in each direction at all times and all carriageways will be fully open throughout the daytime. We will also be closing the majority of A45 entry / exit slip roads, in phases.

When entry / exit slip roads are closed, we will put in place fully signed diversion routes which have been agreed with the Local Authority. I have attached drawings of the diversion routes which directly affect your area. All other diversion routes are available on request.

Please note that all planned works may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
