A day of fun entertainment, displays and activities will be taking place on Northampton market on Saturday 20 May, as part of the national Love Your Local Market celebrations.

Revamp starts at Northampton’s Abington Park Museum

Refurbishment work started this week at Abington Park Museum and is expected to be finished sometime in June.

The work was approved at last week's Northampton Borough Council Planning Committee and includes a light refresh of the Great Hall, Function Room and entrances.

The popular Bands in the Park concerts will be returning to Abington Park for another season of live music and family fun this spring and summer.

Emergency night shelter helped 32 people in first month

Northampton's emergency night shelter has helped more than 30 people in its first month.

The night shelter, which opened for the first time on 6 February, has provided temporary accommodation and access to support services for 32 men ranging in age from 18 to 59.
