The use of Northampton Borough Council's CCTV helped to reduce commercial burglaries this April following a spike in crime in the town centre.
CCTV operators aided the Neighbourhood Policing Team's investigations into these burglaries by helping to identify potential suspects for stop and search purposes.
Thanks to this and footage gained during burglaries, three offenders were identified.

xperts commissioned to repair the Eleanor Cross will speak during a presentation at the London Road site on Thursday, 30 May, to discuss the works taking place and demonstrate the materials being used.
Northampton Borough Council is organising the two presentations, which will run at 2pm and 3pm, and last for approximately 45 minutes, with a limited number of places on offer.

Local residents and businesses are invited to come together at The Guildhall on Friday 17 May to show their support for International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).

A document setting out how more than 13,500 new dwellings will be delivered in Northampton by 2029 goes out for public consultation today.
The Local Plan Part 2 sets out the planning policy framework for Northampton for the next ten years and includes detail on sites identified for new housing, regeneration of the town centre, and expected quality of development.
