Delapré Park and Abington Park have once more been named as two of the best green spaces in England.
They will proudly continue to display the prestigious Green Flag Award, with this year marking an impressive six years in a row for Deplaré Park and five years for Abington Park.

An Alzheimer's Awareness event is being held in Dallington Park, Northampton on Thursday 28 June from 10 am to 1230 pm

A number of celebrations will be taking place to mark Armed Forces Day in Northampton this June.
The celebrations kick off with a flag raising ceremony on Monday, 25 June. Cllr Tony Ansell, the Mayor of Northampton, will be joined by Cllr Jonathan Nunn, Leader of Northampton Borough Council, as he shares a few words before raising the Armed Forces Day flag in front of the Guildhall at 10am.

As people may be aware from the 4th June Veolia started it's environmental services contract with Northampton Borough Council.
Waste and recycling collection
From 4 June, Veolia will be working with Northampton Borough Council to make recycling easier: residents will no longer need to separate cans, plastic, paper, cardboard and glass into the individual bins. They can all go in together.

Northampton residents are being encouraged to come and find out more about the new environmental services contract during two awareness events on Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 May.
People will be able to meet members of the Veolia and idverde teams on the Market Square ahead of Northampton's new environmental services and park maintenance contract beginning on 4 June.

Plans are well under way for the launch of the new environmental services contract, which leading company Veolia takes over on Monday, 4 June.
During the initial few months of the new contract, residents are reassured that their collections won't change, as Veolia will continue the same rounds as currently received.

Frequent park goers are being invited to get involved in a week of action at Northampton Racecourse, starting on Monday, 30 April.
The week of activities, which is being organised by the Northampton Community Safety Partnership, includes painting, litter picks, health walks, a knife amnesty and free bike security marking.
